A Google search revealed this so I have started a new thread has been suggested.
Birdies LG DU update.
Thanks, MIKE, for concentrating this discussion in its own thread, and ALL for some excellent research and reporting. The remark about the reputation of Auchterarder is surely laughable - won't the town be happier to champion its Osprey nest than a music festival? I can't believe that P&K Council will now feel able to give planning permission for the event to go ahead! But stranger things have happened - we must not give up our efforts to protect these birds.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
I signed a petition someone sent me, does anyone know how I find it?
© Scottish Wildlife Trust - Loch of the Lowes
Was it set up by the Woodland Trust? I think that was the one I signed.
I can't remember OG, I just signed it and passed it on. I was wondering how many signatures they managed to get.
Starling, I think there are a couple. I saw one tweeted by Val Gall - "Petition to reject application".
Is this it? - Link to petition
Yes Karen, that's the one, thank you!
Your welcome Starling - glad to be of help :-)
It is a good one!
If anyone wants to object there is a window until 24/4. (Extended from February).
THIS is the link to the Planning Authority of Perth and Strathallan Council so is the correct place to formally object.
Hope this helps..
On the question of protection IF the locals are aware and have spearheaded a protest I hope they will follow through. The effect on properly managed visitors can be lucrative and perhaps as with the Isle of Mull Sea Eagles any stranger seen acting suspiciously is soon identifed to the local Police to great effect.
Fans Assured T In The Park Will Go Ahead
Vote on Starling's link on whether T should or shouldn't go ahead at Strathallan - currently 35% for, 65% against.
