All quiet on the nest just now. I wonder if tommorow is the day when Odin arrives back at Loch Garten
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
He has flown.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
This was EJ just now:
And this was the bird that flew on 'n off the nest @ 01:26hr:
So I think it was probably (EDIT - I'm sure it was) EJ, sensing Odin's arrival. What do you think?

Edit: found it in Osprey sightings ....
2.15 Osprey hovering over the Spey between the Garmouth and Fochabers bridges...
Being harassed by gulls..

Oh clever you, WENDY, finding it in another thread :o
Well, I had a feeling when I saw that, and you must have too.
If that was Odin, he had all that harassment and didn't make it home till gone one o'clock in the morning, stayed up trying to bond with EJ and maybe chase an intruder... nestorise... and EJ wants a fish.
Unknown said: Just been back to read TBOL, SCYLLA, HERON and CC's exciting conversation last night when Odin arrived.Check out scylla's slideshow of his arrival - there are some very touching moments where they look at each other as if to say, "Is that really YOU? I've missed you so much!" [/quote] Yes, it was quite something CC wasn't it. I think I forgot to say 'thank you' in my overcomeness SCYLLA - thank you

The guy in the kilt who landed at 01.26 was our Odin. Enough! :) yes he subsequently left (briefly)
And now the garden centre calls - weather tomorrow forecast to be de motivating for gardening

That great word has saved you from my ire over your arguing with me, CIRRUS ;-)
"We are wayyy-ting" from another source than ourselves :-D
I'm going thru the first night day, starting from when Odin fell asleep on the nest last night and then left, EJ stayed and left, Odin arrived before daycam and nestcupped a couple of times, EJ arrived, he tried to mate and left, she hung on hoping he'd come back for another go but he didn't so she left.
So we've got almost everything covered from the first hint of Odin's return :-* until they start their first day together.
