Hallo all:
Soosin posted the following about her Saturday and various bird sightings, etc., at the very end of the last Daily Update, so I'm copying it here otherwise no-one will see them (she saw mating kingfishers!). And Alan posted some new links, which are also here (Hope that was okay Soosin and Alan).

Spring definitely here. whooopeee Great to catch up with all your obs and pics from throughout day. So, they still seem to be sharing, aahh, how nice. jsb: Thanks for the link to to Capercaille call - was it you who said it wasn't one you could whistle to? Right!
george g: Lovely day here, too, so we got a few things done in the garden. Dog was in charge and rushed about to make sure everyone didn't stop working, no slacking here!
Alan: Just been to have a look at your Falcon cam and the chicks were being fed.... aaaah.
Hi all: Heavy rainfall and very strong winds last night - and snow on the mountains behind the Santa Ynez Valley. It was 12 degrees above normal on Wednesday and 12 below normal Friday! Very odd. "Normal" right now is about 70F (21C).
Brenda: Thanks for clarifying the "bird calls at Augusta" post.
Tiger: Where do you get this mass of information! Very interesting about the flowers at Augusta, etc.. Lovely idea. Thanks.
Margobird: Thanks for info on this and Daily Update about the LOTL birds.
Thanks all for pix and posts!

Hi all, we were at a friends wedding down south at the weekend and our journey home just happened to pass Loch of the Lowes, Rothiemurchus fishery and Loch Garten...
Needless to say we visited all 3, saw the new male catch a fish at LOTL, saw an osprey circling at Rothiemurchus but it didn't attempt to catch anything probably due to the amount of anglers the nice weather had attracted. We also saw EJ and Odin on the nest at LG so all in all our long journey was quite pleasant!
Wow stan ! I'm green with envy......
That sounded a very worthwhile trip Stan. You obviously enjoyed the wedding and then to see EJ & Odin, plus visit LOTL and Rothiermurchus. Hope you have recovered from the long journey.
Stan and Lindybird - so am I!
Today I had a trip to see the Bass ospreys, but just at the visitor centre, on the big screen live streaming. It is a shame they are not doing it online this year. However, it was good as the female was moving branches and then the male came in with a fish, I'll try to attach a pic. Unfortunately there is not one at 2.00, which is when the fish came in.
Just been watching Joanna Lumley in her program about the Nile and quite near the end an osprey caught a fish not far from the boat. Erika winters on the nile but further up the blue nile towards the source.
Still a nice pic ChrissyB - thank you. The nest looks great.
For those who don't get his email.
Penelope has begun her first trip home from French Guiana and is providing some interesting insights into how these birds find their way around the world on the first attempt. She is about to, or may already have begun the crossing of the Caribbean. Next data download is tomorrow. As usual: http://www.bioweb.uncc.edu/Bierregaard/migration10.htm
Very good luck Penelope ! and fingers crossed
