Just noticed the time so thought I'd be a chancer and start the new thread before heading off to bed :)
All's quiet on the Western Front, and on the LG nest. In this strange light the nest looks as if it has quite a deep bowl and the sides are much higher now. EJ and Odin must have realised that it's time to get down to some serious nest building as eggs will be here soon. Nice to see that Odin is remembering to bring his lady red roses (well red spagnum moss, but it's the nearest he could find.)
Oh DjoanS - I have been out but neverthelsess I had actually FORGOTTEN our good ole standby STILL camera.
Hazlewoods , thanks for starting today's thread.
Jeepers Tish :) the typo's I make without having sore hands dear - and the edits I end up doing. LoL . ( I do hope your visit to the solicitor went WELL) (see what I mean ? if I could type an 'up' arrow I would )
Oh, yes, Pine Martins aside - I could wish for just two eggs so there isn't any sibling rivalry and plenty of fish for all concerned. Sigh.
Mmmmmmm - still camera is frozen, right? Oh well. Voyager calls. I'm at work this evening so won't be able to catch it then.
Cirrus - the still camera refreshes every couple of minutes or so - but you have to refresh your browser - its not automatic!
Joan - avid bird and nature watcher in Northumberland!

Morning all: No cam. But a pine marten - what? Not a cute little bird that likes to get up early and explore osprey nests? How clueless can I get? (Pretty clueless is the answer. Sigh.) Only defense is that we don't have them in SoCal, but still, we don't have dinosaurs either and I've heard of them.... :-(
Alan: Thanks for info re your daughter's visit.
Oh oh oh - Thanks Djoan S. Yes, I'll do that. (but it still means the camera is frozen - it ought to refresh itself)
Pine Martens at Kingussie near Aviemore. They are related to polecats and ferrets.

Shame they look so cute :) AND act cute - remember Autumn or was it Spring watch?
Great shot Carol. I've never seen them for real.
Brilliant photograph Carol. Thanks

They look so cute but I wouldn't like a nip from them, Are they related to mink perhaps?
