Just noticed the time so thought I'd be a chancer and start the new thread before heading off to bed :)
All's quiet on the Western Front, and on the LG nest. In this strange light the nest looks as if it has quite a deep bowl and the sides are much higher now. EJ and Odin must have realised that it's time to get down to some serious nest building as eggs will be here soon. Nice to see that Odin is remembering to bring his lady red roses (well red spagnum moss, but it's the nearest he could find.)
Did Odin fly off to the left? That is the direction EJ is scanning and softly calling
She is usually calls and scans the tree to the right of the nest where they both roost

In my copy of Roy Dennis' book " A life of Ospreys " the pages are dog eared from re-reading it LOL
The first time he was there he took off to the right - and speak of the devil.......
And gone again.
Barbara Jean: I'm off for the night - I'm sure these two are quite able to cope. :-) Take care.
Nite Annette
EJ left the nest . I would guess she went fishing

Alicat
Did I read that right Alicat? A pine martin in the osprey nest? Other than Great Horned Owl surely pine martin is the most feared word in the osprey dictionary?

Odin brought a wee headless fish to EJ at 7.37

Bad news! Though they are lovely creatures. We were hoping to see one when we stayed in a cottage in the Abernethy forest but no luck.
