Starting this early because I don't want to forget Tiger's last post on the previous day's update, which was "The male osprey is back at Kielder." Can Odin be far behind? LG nest empty; Marge snoozing at LOTL. Come on guys!
Hi Sue and welcome and we are all on tenterhooks to say the least. EJ does seem a bit restless so perhaps as Richard at LG says today might be the day. Hardly tear myself away from the screen at the moment, good job I am retired otherwise I would never keep up with everything. Have a good Easter weekend and hope the weather is not too bad for you.

Welconme Pipsar6 and welcome and excitement building every day in the hope that Odin will return soonl. You are right ospreys are marvellous, I am in complete awe when I watch them. Have a good weekend,.
EJ has just landed back on her nest. I HAVE to go out "Sigh" Perhaps I should get something from ther doc for ospreyitis. Stops you from doing normal things , you get very emotional and your blood pressure goes up and down like a yo yo!!
Everything in life is speaking in spite of its apparent silence.
Morning tish I think we are all suffering with ospreyitis, the suspense is not doing my blood pressure much good either. Like you I find it hard to do normal things and yes the emotions run riot. EJ back tidying up the nest so please, please Odin come home.
Have a good weekend.

Thanks margobird. Yes, I've got the addiction too.I left my PC for 2 mins and had to come back...Lo and behold EJ was tidying up again!! She's now sitting waiting. Poor girl. The weather here (Fylde area) is cold and damp... but's what's new!! Might get a bit of birding done later....but the house is so snug!!!!!
Thanks to everyone for your 'welcomes' and I hope you all have a happy and peaceful Easter. Let's hope for some action pretty soon eh!
Hi Everyone, don't use this daily update much but should do, great reading all the comments, yes there seems to be a lot of Sue's around, welcome to Su! On tenterhooks today, great pics from everyone, got to go out in half an hour, hope Odin is back when I get back in a couple of hours!
10.45 EJ has a huge twig which she just can't seem to find the right place for!! It amuses me how she shuffles around placing a twig here then...no that's not the right spot..what about here..or here...no, here's where it should go!! She's hollowing out the nest cup now. Oh come on Odin!!
Su
Are you watching the Loch of the Lowes nest too, its on a Scottish Wildlife Trust site not RSPB - another great streaming cam. That one has sound and the camera operator is doing a great job thismorning:

Hi Pipsar, no I've not had a look at the LOTL nest, but will do once I've posted this. Thanks for the link. I keep popping over to the Bassenthwaite site where both male and female osprey have arrived and have already mated. The quality of the piccies is not as good as LG though. We were lucky enough to see the adult male last year while we were up in the Lakes. Great view of him on a post in the middle of Bassenthwaite for about 30 mins.Wow, what a priviledge.
Pipsar6 you are right about the LOL cam, brilliant shots this morning.
Just want to say to all have a really good Easter and thanks for all the observations, pics and info which I have just caught up with. Hope the sun will shine for you although weather looking a bit "iffy"at the moment. Let;s hope we will be celebrating Odin and Eric's return soon.
