Egads! We have to put the clocks forward tonight! Seems like we just put them back 10 minutes ago. :-(
Sunny day here at the moment, think it is supposed to cloud over later. I have been busy cleaning my windows, inside and out, what a difference it makes! Just three more at the front to do now, but I might leave it until tomorrow. Watered and fed all my conservatory plants this morning, first feed of the year. I must make up my mind what to do next, I need to go to Tesco and do a big shop as I have hardly any food left but I am tempted to go over to the beach with Amber!
Have a nice day everyone
Just stopped to have some lunch.
Rita, I would prefer the beach with Amber, but then we can't let you starve LOL Tesco must open late, so shop later :-))
Hello all- sorry not to have chatted for a day or so, I have been getting the house back to normal after the painting etc. There is a bit of pressure on because our Danish friends arrive on Sunday. Even the smallest sanding jobs result in that fine dust that my OH calls stour. The ceiling in our back room had been made and papered very badly, no taping etc. The then owner ( who we suspect built the room, which is an extension) decided to put strips of carved wood on the ceiling, like mock mini beams. OH has lived here since 1982 but never got around to sorting all that out.I have lived here since 1999 and just learnt not to look at the ceiling.....
The wood strips are now history, Alfie put a skim of plaster on the ceiling before decorating but even though the door was closed when he was sanding, the dust found its way into other places and also my chest :-(
Anyway, all clean now, windows and all. I can't stop looking at it! I told OH that it reminded me of my childhood. When I got a new pair of shoes I used to put them somewhere where I would see them the minute I woke in the morning!
We have had a lovely day here today, not hot but sunny. I hope that you managed to take Amber to the beach, RITA, and also did your Tesco shop. I'm happy to see that BRENDA and OG got garden work done. Thinking about ANNETTE on her travels, LINDY relaxing in the warm climes and hoping that MARGO is coping with her chemo week. LYNETTE, I have been enjoying your pictures!

Heather, So happy for you, that you are so pleased with your decorating. I can feel your excitement at the ceiling alteration :-)) Enjoy.
Linda, You should have warned us that your red nose photograph was so large. You gave me quite a fright LOL The Total at the moment is over £46 million.
Lynette, Thank you. Do enjoy Mothering Sunday, yourself.
