IN THE HUMAN BREAST HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL
In February we said goodbye to Millicent, EJ's 100th chick to fledge from the famous nest. We continue to watch Breagha, our only remaining tagged osprey juvenile.
In March we await the arrival of EJ and Oden, to start another family of fascinating bobbleheads.
Willow sadly at LG no news is usually bad news, but now thanks to Alan and keith we know all is OK.
How does your garden grow? Some signs of green here finally.
I have posted this before but so difficult to get a pic of them!
June glad you are getting some signs of spring at last! Youre right no news sometimes means bad news as they sometimes wait for something more definite before they break the news but also I think when theres little or no change they may not report
Heres something flowering in my garden its a witch hazel and it smells beautiful,i wish I could post the smell to you!
so true Willow I hope that now they are busy changing from winter to summer.
The visitor just now "ruffed' the orange around his neck.
May I wish ALL - A HAPPY MOTHERING SUNDAY.
In UK Mothering Sunday is celebrated each year on the fourth Sunday in Lent although I am aware that in USA it falls on the second Sunday in May.
COUNTDOWN FOR LOCH GARTEN NEST
10 days till EJ'S RETURN on Wed March 25th
16 days till ODIN'S RETURN on Wed March 31st
I have heard that Richard has already left his post at LG. Strange that loyal followers would not be informed of this major change.
Now I am wondering if they even plan to have a cam, wait & see, I guess.
I've travelled with Richard on three birding/wildlife trips where he has been leader or co-leader. The last one was a trip to the Czech Republic when he was very supportive of my lack of fitness in trudging up steep hills in search of Ural Owls (we didn't find them). Does anyone know what he's doing now?
