Here is the thread you have been waiting on. The book opens now and will close at midnight on Friday 20/Saturday 21 March 2014
Predictions should be in three parts
1. The day and date of EJ's arrival on the Loch Garten nest.
2. The time of day
3. Will EJ be carrying a fish?
So let the guessing begin.
One guess per forum member. Best of luck everyone.
Previous return dates for EJ are to be found here
Here is EJ's arrival last year at 1.25pm on Monday 24 March 2014

Do tell, Tiger? I don't think you've shared the story with quite everyone!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

Bad luck. One down 56 to go.

I predicted 2.15pm on Thursday 24 March 2011 and she arrived exactly as predicted.
I know.....having read the osprey threads for a few years now I'm well aware of this impressive feat. My best attempt to date was in 2012.
If EJ arrives this afternoon Pica's will still be the closest guess.

For some reason it now says 1.15pm but it was 2.15pm. See EJ arrives
Predictions for tomorrow. 4 guesses.
A lovely calm morning here in Central Scotland this morning. Almost calm enough to hear the swish of Osprey wings as they pass overhead on their way north.!! :-)

Morning, Paul. I imagine you'll be pleased to hear that the Loch of the Lowes male, Laddie, is back! How close do you live to that nest?
Good morning, Clare. I'm about an hour and a half away from Dunkeld, so a trip up there is a strong possibility at some point. We were lucky enough to see Lady & Laddie last year when we took a trip up. Like everyone else though, I'll be glad when all the birds return, regardless of when it is.

First guess due in 45 minutes.
