Evening all: Busy day today and more of the same tomorrow.
Rita: Can't believe you have to wait months (or even weeks) to see a orthopedic guy! I wonder if you've torn the cartilage in your knee. Sorry, but I forgot how you hurt it... I wish I could help re the computer. Is it the same problem? Really hope you can find someone to sort it out - I guess it's too late for any warranty reimbursement? Don't think the fountain is too threatened at this point, but we are saving rinse and 'warm-up' water that we could add if necessary (currently we're putting it on various plants in the garden).
OG: Your day sounds a lot like many of mine of late. Oh gosh, I have amalgam fillings from eons ago that are still hanging in there. Had nice coffee and munchies with (Brit) friend plus lots of chat. She's reworking parts of her garden for lower water use so we nattered about her options.
Lindybird: Let's cut to the chase: Are the sandals you packed doing the job? Hope the wind quietens so your hair will behave.
Heather: Let us know how Sheana is doing. Turning off her phone sounds like a definite plan; after all, there's nothing you can do at that time of night and she is in a safe environment (and that sudden shot of adrenaline when the phone rings is downright scary). Is your OH fretting about his Tuesday appointment (will they put him out for the procedure?).
Brenda: At least you were watching an actual bird and not the top of a telephone pole. :-)
Lynette: Do hope your Dau will find something that suits her better; must agree with others that e-mail notice was despicable and really does reflect on the character of the people she was dealing with. Sorry to hear about the church member. Hugs to you.
AQ: Hope you're doing okay.
Off to daughter's first thing tomorrow, then back (with guinea pig) and then to volunteer gig, then to gym! Have forewarned OH that it might be take-out for dinner tomorrow night.
Have a good Friday all.
Good Morning ALL. A frosty and lovely sunny morning. Our daughter is moving house today so I am so glad it is a dry day for them. When we moved here, it rained all day and I spent most of my time making sure the covers stayed on the new carpets and the furniture stayed dry.
Annette, You certainly do have a full day planned. A 'take out' dinner does seem the best a good option.
Diane, Spectacular photographs you posted on the Osprey Chat Page. I had seen some of them but not all. The East coast really is having an extremely bad winter.
Lynette, A very sad story about your church member. Good to see your daughter is solving her work problems.
Just heard from daughter that her removal people have already cleared the bedrooms into the van. We haven't been asked to help this time. LOL
Hello all
I hope to make proper replies this evening. My life is no busier than anyone else's and I read all your news but am lazy about replies at times. Sorry.
I am going up to see Sheana in about an hour or so. She phoned this morning asking me to bring a policeman with me as the Home are taking all her money and building a place to put her, away from everyone. Poor old soul. I will be speaking to the staff this afternoon, next thing she will be dialling 999...
Heather, sorry you are having to shoulder all Sheana's problems. You really do try your best, but poor Sheana's problems have become so much worse. You do have your OH and family to think about. X
Hope the police don't nab you as the culprit. LOL
Lindy, that looks wonderful.........grrrrrrr. Roll on summer!!
I'm delighted you're in such a lovely place - and it's lovely to hear from you.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
I'm still keeping everything crossed for you over that job, Clare!!
