WEEKLY CHAT (non-osprey) SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2015

Happy New Week all

  • Clare - was sorry to learn you didn't get the job you interviewed for but great to hear that another interview is forthcoming.

Margo - glad Billie is on the way to a full recovery.

Managed to find an outfit for our Step-granddaughter's wedding. Have decided to wear a favourite dress and have bought accessories to jazz it up a bit - job done!

  • Heather - know just what you mean! Must sign off, now, but as we hope to have wi fi where we are going, I may look in now & then. Meanwhile, all take care of yourselves.
  • Have a great time, Lindy. Safe journey!

  • Lindybird - Have a lovely holiday, with lots of lovely sunshine.  safe journey there and back.

  • Evening all:

Lmac:  So we can assume that LG will continue to tag?

Clare: I can't imagine that you don't live up to your advance press!  :-)  Good luck with the next batch of interviews!

dinblib: How long will you be gone? Hope the weather is nice.

Heather: Oh dear; Sheana on the phone, OH convinced his eyes are permanently on the blink (but can we blame him given his history?), and daughter anticipating being out on the streets!  Is it too late to change your name and start a new life?  (If you missed Lindy, you could try stowing away on a California-bound jet.)   :-)

OG: That tooth again?!  What are they filling it with?  Peanut butter?

Lynette: Good that your  daughter has some folks rooting for her; what an odd situation. Do you think it was just a personality difference with someone in her previous group?  Those can be so difficult.  A favorite dress that you feel good in is the perfect choice for a special event - new accessories are a great idea to spruce it up.

Lindybird: Hurry back; we'll miss you.

Had lunch with friend today - a massive salad (very good) but we should've shared the plate. Then had eyes tested; minimal change but doc did comment my current specs are a tad scratched up so will probably just order another pair with the same Rx.  Plan an "at home" day tomorrow to do all kinds of paperwork/phone calls, etc.

    Have a good Wednesday everyone.

You'd be surprised.  I've worked in a lot of offices and my face has a knack of not fitting.  I'm quite forthright and that comes across all too clearly.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • Hi Annette no LG have stated quite clearer they will no longer tag as they believe the have received any useful information and monitoring that they can. The cost / benefit has been looked at and they will now put the tracker monies to protecting birds of prey which I think is an excellent idea given the abysmal stats recently in the UK. They will continue to ring.

  • CLARE In my book forthright equals honest and straightforward and I would much rather be like that than a simpering Yes Boss person. Also I would much prefer to hire an honest and straightforward person , no gameplaying, no hidden agendas.

  • Heather, I wish you lived locally and ran a company!

  • Good afternoon everyone, just in from work so I good idea to catch up, I still can't believe the news about Millie :(

clare I read you are job hunting, hope all goes well for you on Thursday, I also agree with Heather, I prefer honest and straightforward people.

I am now off until Monday, so catch up with jobs and a little 'me' time, plus the dreaded dentist.

I had plans to have a tooth implant, but after removal of the tooth, the bone has receded, so an implant is now out of the question, unless they take bone from elsewhere to build it up, which is a definite 'no!' as far has I am concerned, plus the extra cost.

So its a visit to see what plan B may be?! At present I have a temporary bridge, which has been out more than in, so many trips to the dentist, they now recognise my voice when I contact them.

Oh to have good strong teeth :(
