This is a new thread for the Glaslyn Ospreys. Following on from Glaslyn 2014
The countdown clocks march relentlessly on
I will add to this later.

Good Morning everyone. Thank you for your morning updates. ( I slept in !! ).
So we have had a fish delivery for 4R and all are present this morning. I really do think they should be leaving. Aran must have the urge to leave, but is feeding his two chicks so well.
Hello Brenda. Still ENS. I'm popping out for a wee while. BBL

Well I cannot see Aran staying too much longer I would have thought that they will all be gone by 1st October.
Here is what Roy Dennis saysMost ospreys have migrated by the beginning of September and it is rare to find any remaining by the end of the month; occasional ospreys are seen in October and November, but these are vagrants from the Continent. I have seen one in December, an immature reported beside the river at Grudie power station, Ross-shire, on 16 December 1980. We caught it in a very emaciated condition standing on the edge of the river the following day but despite our best efforts it died.Dennis, Roy (2012-11-06). Thanks Tiger
As we all say ' with Ospreys you can never predict'.
Wonderful birds

Thank you Tiger and Kate for the comments on departure. I am no mathematician at all, but I have looked at the departures ages for Glaslyn and of the eleven birds already migrated, the average ages is 108.09 days. Of the females (six) the average is 106 days, and the males (five) is it 105.2 days. So in theory we should have 4R with us for another 14 days, and W0 for another 16 days. Surely not!! We have six days remaining in September: will Glaslyn break another record on the C&T stats!!
ENS by the way!
Pesky crow is on the perch
I am hoping that my vibes are all wrong, just think the nest looks decidedly lonely.....
Talking to myself.....no Kate one will go before the other not all three together........
So the last sighting of any of them was just before 08.00hrs with the fish delivery which 4R claimed. W0 may not have been hungry then, but I bet he will want his teatime fish! I admit I have not been here all the time, so we could have missed something...?
