Evening all:
Lindybird: Love those poppies - such a wonderful rich color. I love tulips that color too.
AQ: Glad you're feeling better; sorry about the heat.
Rita:The Epi doesn't usually bloom until June.....
Battling my way through this jigsaw, which is the hardest one I've ever done (although Van Gogh's Irises was pretty challenging). However, am packing it in now and enjoying a taste-test comparison of Hagen Daaz's Caramel Gelato and Dulce de Leche ice cream. The gelato is much smoother, but I think I prefer the texture of the ice cream. Both are very sweet, almost too much...
Anyway, have a nice Sunday everyone, especially Margo, who I hope is feeling better and enjoying some time with her OH. Also hallo to George!
Another sideways view, but isnt she cute?!
Very cute!
I'm happy to say today's interview made up for yesterday - it went very positively! I should hear on Friday whether I've made it to the second interview or not. Fingers crossed.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Everything crossed, Clare!! Good Luck!
Lindy - What a great idea a nice holiday in the sun to relax before all the puppy work starts :)
Lovely pictures of your grandchild, she is adorable!
Yes I am looking forward to getting my puppy, but I think I may have forgotten what hard work they are.

Lindybird: Amber is just beautiful - very much like my granddaughter at that age, especially with that hair. She's going to be so much fun to buy clothes for.
Clare: Well, that's a relief! Fingers crossed for Friday and beyond... :-)
Linda, Amber is beautiful. I can see that she definitely is / will be a Daddy's girl. Boyfriends beware LOL
Clare, Pleased that you feel positive about today's interview. Everything crossed for you.
Starling, Getting excited for you and your puppy. Life could get a bit more hectic :-))
STARLING Only a few days to go, you must be so excited.
LINDY Enjoy your hols, good you have Bonnie to look forward to on your return.
CLARE Hope you get that 2nd interview and finally the job.
dibnlib - I was busy at the weekend buying everything I need. Emailed the breeder today to see what to get the puppy to eat, I don't want to change his diet yet. Hopefully I haven't forgotten anything :)
Starling: We hav'nt had a puppy in the house since we had a tiny Border Collie, when our boys were, let me see, about 6 and 9 years old. They are 36 and 39 now!! So that's about 30 years ago ! Holly was a much loved family dog and lived until she was 12.
Annette: Its got to the stage where I have to stop myself from buying her things. I have the cutest little Chinese style jacket, with pink flowers and pretty buttons, waiting for her to wear this summer!
Brenda: I asked my son about future boyfriends for Amber: He said that he would not allow her to go out on dates until she was at least 40 years old!
We have eaten dinner and are about to make our pancakes. Anyone else being traditional??
Starling: we are going to do the same. Bonnie will arrive with a blanket smelling of her Mum and a bag of puppy food, which we will replicate for a while so that she feels not too many things have suddenly changed in her world. It must be such a wrench leaving the only home you've ever known.
