WEEKLY CHAT (non-osprey) SUNDAY FEBRUARY 15, 2015

Evening all:

Lindybird: Love those poppies - such a wonderful rich color. I love tulips that color too.

AQ: Glad you're feeling better; sorry about the heat.

Rita:The Epi doesn't usually bloom until June.....

Battling my way through this jigsaw, which is the hardest one I've ever done (although Van Gogh's Irises was pretty challenging).  However, am packing it in now and enjoying a taste-test comparison of Hagen Daaz's   Caramel Gelato and Dulce de Leche ice cream.  The gelato is much smoother, but I think I prefer the texture of the ice cream.  Both are very sweet, almost too much...

Anyway, have a nice Sunday everyone, especially  Margo, who I hope is feeling better and enjoying some time with her OH.  Also hallo to George!

  • So pleased to hear from you, Heather, and to know that your OH is now back home. Try and relax now.

  • Heather -  very glad to hear that you and OH are back home again and all is well.

  • RITA    What lovely pics

    LINDY   Bonnie is so beautiful.

CLARE   How awful for you with the job interview.

OH just loves his pancakes so guess what we had for lunch today.

  • Lindy - Bonnie is lovely.  How long until you get her?  I get my pup this weekend.

Margo - So sorry to read that your having a hard time with the chemo, hope you start to feel better soon.

  • Morning all:

Lindybird: Love the donkey; I'm sure that will give Margo a smile. Congrats on getting the better of the new pc; nice to know we're all so suddenly "important looking."  :-)  Bonnie is the perfect name for such a cutie!

Brenda: Indeed.  The only difference between holidays now and when we were working is that we avoid going anywhere on those days coz we have the rest of the year free!  :-)  That crude oil derailment is just one of several over the last year or three, with lots of outrage ensuing about the damage and pollution they cause and the potential for more given the huge amount of oil that's transported that way.

Margo: Wonder why chemo was so bad this time?  Are you taking those supplemental nutrition drinks so you don't miss out on vitamins, minerals, and all the other good stuff?  Sending hugs to you dear.

George: Good to "see" you; had to smile at Brenda's comment.

Heather: Oh good! Thanks for letting us know.

    Hi to Starling and dibnlib.

OK. So! Today is first day of this year's Gray Whale Count and I'm off shortly with my binocs, though I doubt we'll see much coz of the poor visibility plus it's still early in the season.  It's the 11th year - my 10th - of the study. Where oh where does the time go?

  • LINDY   think everyone loved donkeys (in this country anyway), love the pic, thank you.

  • HEATHER   glad all went well.

  • Starling:  We don't get her until 20th March, because we are off shortly (mid week next week) for a three week jaunt to The Canaries.  My OH loves to get away to the sun and cut the winter short. The Breeder kindly said she would keep Bonnie for us until we get back - one of her black & white brothers is also going to stay on for a couple of weeks, and two of the pups are not yet sold.  There were eight to start with!!   Bet you can't wait to collect yours :-)

Annette:  Incredible that the Whale Count has got under way again:  as you say, where do the years go.......   There do seem to have been several of those nasty accidents on the railways in the last few months.

Glad everyone has enjoyed the donkey pic!!  Now I can also post some pics of our grandchildren, taken at Christmas, which I couldn't before.  Here is little Amber at three months old, coming for her first visit to our house the weekend after Christmas:

  • No idea why that won't post:  its from the same collection and on the same disc that Bonnies pics are.  Ho hum.

    Another try at posting something:

     EDIT:

See that the first pic has come out, now!!
