Evening all:
Lindybird: Love those poppies - such a wonderful rich color. I love tulips that color too.
AQ: Glad you're feeling better; sorry about the heat.
Rita:The Epi doesn't usually bloom until June.....
Battling my way through this jigsaw, which is the hardest one I've ever done (although Van Gogh's Irises was pretty challenging). However, am packing it in now and enjoying a taste-test comparison of Hagen Daaz's Caramel Gelato and Dulce de Leche ice cream. The gelato is much smoother, but I think I prefer the texture of the ice cream. Both are very sweet, almost too much...
Anyway, have a nice Sunday everyone, especially Margo, who I hope is feeling better and enjoying some time with her OH. Also hallo to George!
Good Morning Everyone. A misty start but there are glimmers of the sun now. Rain arrives this afternoon.
Love the big cats photograph, Linda. Did you ever get an estimate for your front garden wall ? We are waiting for an estimate for a retaining wall at the back of our garden The field behind our house is higher than our garden and we have wooden palisades set in a concrete base ( below ground ) to contain a necessary raised bed. I can see that our garden will be ruined by the time it is finished :-((
I have spoken to Margo this morning. She is still not feeling great, but will post on here asap.
I am playing indoor bowls shortly.
Hi, everyone. Can you believe that the agency who arranged today's interview gave me the wrong address? To say I felt like a prize plonker when I finally arrived in the right place is the year's understatement.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
OH CLARE, that's shocking. I hope you have complained to the agency and I hope that the firm interviewing you now know that it wasn't your fault. Grrrr
I did explain to the interviewer about the mistake but the whole thing didn't do much for my confidence. I've told the agency as well - hopefully someone will come back to me tomorrow.
Hello All- A wet drizzly day here today, - at least my shoulder is feeling better now.
Clare - How awful to be given the wrong address for your interview , I hope it did not make you too late. I would complain to the agency.
I thought I would post a few pictures of plants in my greenhouse to remind us of summer to come and to bring some cheer to anybody feeling down at the moment.
I do not know what happened to my last post, it chopped my last sentence in half and put the rest in lower down, and rearranged the pictures in a different order. Sorry!
Rita, what a wonderful, cheerful post of your beautiful flowering plants in your greenhouse. Thank you. RF has a mind of it's own. Just be glad that they all actually posted.LOL
Clare, Not a good advert for that agency and an absolutely, atrocious situation that they left you to sort out. I hope they rang the company, that you were being sent to, for your interview and accepted responsibility for the mistake. I would tell them that I expected them to have done so and if not, they must do so !!!
