WEEKLY CHAT (non-osprey) SUNDAY FEBRUARY 15, 2015

Evening all:

Lindybird: Love those poppies - such a wonderful rich color. I love tulips that color too.

AQ: Glad you're feeling better; sorry about the heat.

Rita:The Epi doesn't usually bloom until June.....

Battling my way through this jigsaw, which is the hardest one I've ever done (although Van Gogh's Irises was pretty challenging).  However, am packing it in now and enjoying a taste-test comparison of Hagen Daaz's   Caramel Gelato and Dulce de Leche ice cream.  The gelato is much smoother, but I think I prefer the texture of the ice cream.  Both are very sweet, almost too much...

Anyway, have a nice Sunday everyone, especially  Margo, who I hope is feeling better and enjoying some time with her OH.  Also hallo to George!

  • Enjoy, CLARE.

Good morning, all!  It's Saturday.......yay!  No waiting for the phone to ring until Monday.  Sheer heaven.

  • Good morning Clare, Its been a while since I wrote, but I have been busy busy, although kept update with the goings on in the Osprey world, its now getting to that nail biting time, waiting for their return.

    Hope you have a good.

  • should say have a good day oops!

  • Hi Tina, nice to hear from you. You're so right, its now "nail biting time" again!
  • How nice to see you, Tina.  I'm really looking forward to the new season - it's going to be so good to see EJ the Beautiful after waiting for what feels like forever!

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • Bill Oddie at todays Birmingham wildlife festival and badger army march with one of 'stop the cull' posters

  • Within 15 minutes of my writing this morning that it was "lovely & sunny" we had a mini hailstorm! Went out shopping armed with my umbrella! Have bought a little ID tag for Bonnie, with our phone no. on it. Met some old friends in the street & it was nice to chat. Enjoyed our eggs on toast for lunch today, then had a naughty hot cross bun! Doesn't have to be Easter for us to enjoy them!
  • A weird thing happened yesterday - my OH & I were discussing this new development whereby people can claim back their money after being fined for parking on private land. I then described in detail how my Friend and I had to pay a fine over 18 months ago (maybe a couple of years back) for parking without paying at Lytham St Anne's Pier, in Lancashire. (We hadn't noticed the signs & were probably chatting away as usual!) Then yesterday afternoon, only a couple of hours after talking to my OH about this, we put on our recording device and settled down to watch the episode of The Gift from last week. After a while, lo and behold, one of the participants was filmed walking up to Lytham St. Anne's Pier! Not only did he enter by the self same door as we had, but as it was winter during filming, the outside shots showed the empty car park and the very space where we left the car on that day! Hairs on the back of my neck stood up!!
  • Hi Lindybird and Clare, its good to be back although I haven't been far, just busy with work etc, but you have all kept me updated on the forum. There I never a day goes by that I don't think Ospreys. Your right Clare to see EJ will be something else. it always brings a tear of joy, sad that I am!

I have been busy today finishing a birthday cake the my OH, men are never easy when it comes to what type of decoration.

I quickly popped out and we also had a hailstorm, that through me completely, the forecast was dry.

That's not sad, it just shows off your excellent taste!
