FEBRUARY - The days may be getting longer, but it is still our coldest month. Just a wonderful month to curl up and snooze until our osprey arrive back in Scotland. - - and Wales and England. I don't know of any in Ireland.
WendyB has recently given us a link to an Albatross family cam which should prove entertaining as we continue our countdown to the arrival of EJ and Odin. With Keith on Bioko Island for he month, he may have a few adventures to share with us.
Let us remember that February is the month of romance, too.

Hi CC, I was just getting ready for a weather report on my favorite spots, then got sidetracked for a few games of free cell.
Hadn't heard the storm prediction. I'm listening to WOBO, as usual. They aren't getting any weather reports because "they've got snow in ttheir TV dish." That strikes me as funny, sounds like some kind of disease. :)
But back to the weather, All is fine here & I hope to get out to church later. But had better check TV for a good weather forecast. Don't want to get caught out in a bad storm.
Currently all is well here with a temp of 21F and "mostly clear skies" predicted on the computer.
For Fort Myer I got Your current 61F with high of 80F
Nags Head, NC (Outer Banks) is 54 now with 54 also expected as high. partly cloudy.
NethyBridge, Scotland (near Lock Garten)35F, high 39
Lerwick Shetland Island, Scotland - Northernmost location 38F & 42F Hi
Also as we currently have a Gabber in Malobo on Bioko Island and our osprey comparatively not far away, I'll look up that location as well. Be back soon.
Malabo currently 83F, HI 90F light rain.
So , given my choice, this moment I'd be in Nags head at our favorite Sea Spray Motel even tho the weather there is not ideal today. In reality the Sea Spray no longer exists, but any full-service accommodation (no camping for me) there with a full ocean view would be ideal.

And so we've often discussed here, CC. Keith did say the other day that he'd like for us to send him a few ice blocks.
Hope he at least sees lots of osprey as reward for enduring this hot & humid weather.
Hope all is well for you. Stay warm and safe.
Time is running out. Must get ready for church if I'm to be there on time. My favorite Sunday morning before church song "Get Me To The Church On Time".
so it is foggy at Nags Head this morning. Lovely! I love it.
The Sea Spray was just south (to he right) of this fishing pier. When we sat on the porch we saw this pier from he other side. OOH I'm homesick for the Sea Spray this morning.
CC we are on the same track this morning/ afternoon. Still morning in Hawaii. My contribution which I was preparing while you were posting, is almost identical
Also a bit of commentary from the side Very different of osprey parenting.
Good evening Gabbers. Thanks for the albatross pics and June I love the Outer Banks in the fog! I love fog and like walking in woodland when theres thick fog you can just hear the dripping trees. It always seems to smell special too.
The pic of dear Ceulan brought a tear! He did so well only to perish in a fishing net :(. Makes me think too of Sandra who loved Ceulan.
