WEEKLY CHAT (Non Osprey Topics) SUNDAY FEBRUARY 1st 2015

Where did January go? Really interesting hearing about all the new/pending pups - think you have found some surrogate owners!!!

even Pied Wagtail is showing aggression to all the many Finches on “his” patch.

Pied wagtails are tough birds.  We had one chase off a herring gull from our shed roof last winter - it went for the bigger bird's feet!

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • OG - you might feel cold now that you have finally been shorn!! We are cheating tonight and having an M&S steak pie each, as I didn't know how long we would be out this afternoon. We stopped at the giant M&S on the way home, and I bought some plain Devon scones, too, so that we can celebrate by enjoying some of our own plum jam with them! Also smuggled out of the shop a new shirt for my OH, bought in the Sale, as its his birthday at the end of March. It can be a present from our new doggy friend! We will have some of the last leeks from our allotment this year with the pies. Gosh, its gone dark as I type, but at least its much later, now.

Blimey!  I've got an interview in the morning!!!!!   YES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I'm a bit excited.  It's the first one anyone's offered me in two months of job hunting.

YES indeed, Clare!! It must have been all our collective fingers, crossed that did it! Good Luck tomorrow!!

Brilliant news, Linda. I am so happy for both of you, especially your husband, of course. Open the champagne.

Thanks Brenda! We do have a rather nice bottle of it tucked away, but won't open it today. We will, however, enjoy a glass of wine with our dinner tonight!!!
  • Good for you Clare,  hope it goes well and you get the job. Bet you made lots of plans of things to do while you were not working and now you will not get the chance to do them. Hopefully you will be back in a nice role soon and good luck for tomorrow.

  • Well done, Clare. Wishing you every success at the interview.
( Don't wear your dancing outfit LOL)

  • Now that would be a talking point, Brenda.  LOL!!!!

Ideally I hope that they are a nice company to work for and that I get offered a job.  I usually manage to get offered a job only to find out that it's either a horrible company or my face doesn't fit.

  • CLARE hope your face fits and they are a great company ;-))

Is this the right time to say that all on here are great company?

  • You are all brilliant company!
