I cannot find a new thread for Rutland 2015. Is that right?

Yes looks like it's been left for just over half an hour now. Janine from Dyfi just said on Facebook that Dulas' egg was left uncovered for at least 1 whole night if not 2 shortly after being laid, but he still hatched OK.

Odd. Maybe cam has frozen. I can't see anything swaying in the wind.

Agreed but he took 42 days to hatch.

Hi Choco! I'm thinking camera has frozen?? what do you think? I can't imagine why Maya or 33 would leave it uncovered. Especially 33 as a first time dad I thought he would be more vigilant.
Evening Tiger!
I nearly said that back on the FB thread too Tiger! The only damage to Dulas was he missed out on being Dyfi's first chick in 400 years! But I could see the point was that when he did hatch he was fine!
Tiger - sorry to ask this here but have you seen photo of osprey in news today in Fareham. I am sure I can see a Darvic ring on leg.
Hi Stingray! Have you recovered from your trip?
My thinking is that Maya is a seasoned pro now - we've never had the cams overnight at Rutland before so for all we know, she's done this before and hatched chicks OK. I'm remembering too that the 1st and 2nd chicks hatched on same day in 2013...
