Good asfternoon all. Karen thanks for the update on 30(05). Thats some travelling! Hope she arrives home safely :)
Hello there, just picked up on this thread. The Eqyptian geese were on the nest the other day and now as Scylla has said, the pied wagtails also. Taken just a moment ago.

At least the EG seem to have moved on@@
They'll be back, LYNETTE, they've taken up permanent residence - or they think they have ;-)
they gotta turf out the Duck, who also thinks this is a ready made cup, with a bit of of finishing CHOL:):)
Looks like everyone has given up on today but, when anyone is next around please would you confirm (or otherwise) that Maya was due 17 March and so is ''late'' in arriving .
I agree with you Cirrus, Maya is overdue, she was down for 17th March.

this info from above the web cam
"We’re currently waiting for the first Osprey to return to Rutland! Last year, the Manton Bay female, Maya, arrived on 17th March. Her mate of the previous four years failed to return and instead Maya spent summer 2014 with a young male Osprey, 33(11). Hopes are high that they will breed together for the first time this year
"
When has she arrived in previous years - or was last year her first?
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
