WEEKLY CHAT (Non-osprey) SUNDAY,JANUARY 18. 2015

Hi all!

  • Pleased to hear your news Margo and that you are enjoying your tennis. We don't have Sky sport as neither of us are football fans.

Yes I am looking forward to Lundy and yes I do love it there and as not a world traveller it does seem abroad as I go by helicopter. Will be showing it to a friend this year so fingers crossed for good weather.

    True funny for the day:-

I keep all my extra tins and bottles in my shed out of the way. Went for tins to make a batch of vegetable chilli only to find I have tins of tomato sorbet and kidney bean lollies!!!

  • Good afternoon all have been reading all the blogs but things have been happening and I have been kept occupied

SIL has been attending hospital quite a lot and she is going in tomorrow and will possibly have to have a kidney removed and I have been the taxi taking her back and forward to the hospital

I have also been taking Diesel back and forward to the vets as his poo has been very watery and they say he has stomach bug which is not going away with the tablets they are trying.  I have also had to cook him either white fish or chicken with either rice or potatoes and he always seems to be hungry. He goes back on Friday so we will see what happens next.

I hope everyone lets rid of there colds and aches and pains and keeps well. I am using my I pad to write this which I am getting to grips with.

  • george good to see you but sorry to read aboiut your SIL and Diesel.

  • Great to hear from you both, George and Margo. Sorry to hear your news, George - I hope that Diesel recovers soon.
  • Margo - Have been thinking of you. Glad you're getting back to normal routine again now. It must be difficult working out what's upsetting Billie, when it could be almost anything and its probably something quite ordinary. The poetry has totally eluded me! At the time, I thought it was something quite meaningful but although I went back to sleep repeating some lines it was completely gone by next morning.
  • Wendy - laughed at your sorbet story!!
  • Heather - I bought my OH a DVD of a crackling log fire!! He really misses having an open fire in the grate.
  • We went to my sis-in-laws for a coffee today and at the moment she has a beautiful pale yellow Labrador to look after, just for the day. We loved it, but we don't want a Lab ourselves as we don't have a big enough garden. Its been very cold again today and now its supposed to snow some more tonight - urgh.
  • George, So sorry to hear about your SiL. She must be so glad that you are able to be her taxi, but even more, that you are there as a support for her. It must be so worrying and frightening for her.
I don't like to think that poor Diesel is suffering. Chicken and rice was always what we had to give our dog. Anything else and he would have diarrhoea. I do hope he recovers quickly.
Pleased to see you are now competent with your iPad. I love mine.
We do keep thinking of you and how you are coping with the snow and icy roads. Take care of yourself.

  • Hello  Linda! I'm trying to motivate myself to get dressed & go to supermarket early. (It's almost 8.30 am) Already feeling too warm & humid.
