Hi all!
I hope you haven't got to go out early tomorrow, Linda. We remained grey and cloudy all day. Everywhere still very wet and latest forecast says we could have freezing fog tonight. Margo rang me earlier today and she had blue skies and sunshine. I was very jealous. Except for going to church this morning, we haven't ventured out today.
Well Callum is in his hotel at Luton, very hungry and not confident enough to go downstairs and order a meal in the restaurant:-(
Only sixteen, oh dear.
We took him to airport and he managed to check in, go through security, get on his flight and get a taxi at Luton. I suppose going into a restaurant on your own at that age and ordering is a bit of a challenge.
Oh Heather, I wish I could help. How would you feel about ringing the hotel and explaining the situation to the person on reception. They could arrange for room service for him ??
BRENDA Thank you! I had the same thought, asked his Mum to tell me what hotel he was in and she just laughed and said that he would be OK:-(((( I phoned eldest son in law, he is going to phone Callum and attempt to help. I still don't know what hotel he is in.
I hope he can arrange something for Callum, Heather. 16 year old have good appetites and he will certainly want breakfast tomorrow morning.
I should imagine that hunger will drive him to desperation tomorrow morning. OH and I always travel with emergency food supplies and I feel annoyed with myself for not suggesting to daughter or organising such for Callum.
Evening all:
Heather: Do hope Callum managed to get something to eat; poor kid. SiL sounds like a good sort.
Rita: At least you're on the right side of the winter equinox.
Lindybird: Aaack! Isn't that weird how thoughts that seem so clear and logical in the middle of the night disappear like smoke in the a.m.
Worked in the garden today then puttered about. Now watching Netflix DVD of the first season of Broadchurch; a friend here told me about it - it's very good.
Do hope all of you stay safe and warm in the cold. Take care everyone.
