    Mobbed by terns?  That must have been a sight - they would have looked tiny next to the osprey!

    Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

    The South Uist Bird is a bit lost. Reminds me of Moray (Logies Chick)who made it to Lewis on his Autumn migration.

    ALAN - I am assuming many of the recent sightings are lone birds (Non Pairings) given the areas of sighting and may be young ospreys ranging 2 - 4 years or so.

    thank you Alan, Ferry Meadows not that far away in the grand scheme of things. I've dashed out before and not managed a glimpse in the past when there has been a sighting in Cambridgeshire.
