As no one has made a new thread for 2015 I thought I would do it if that is OK....
I would also like to wish everyone a Happy New Year too. Here is a great video with a lovely Saxaphone Version of Auld Lang Syne.
Will check around to see if there is any news to post now.
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
Getting a bit late for them.

Just been reading that there hasn't been an established pair for a couple of years now ... wonder why?

Things went wrong in 2013 and it has never been the same since.
Funny you should be discussing Sanibel, I just came here to ask your opinions :-)
I monitor Sanibel (as 24/7 as possible) with VLC - these two birds are returners from a frantic and failed last season - Iceman appears very inexperienced and has been very adept at landing on Frida's back and sliding off. However, yesterday evening, nearly 1800hr, this occurred - the best yet, but did he make it? It's the first time she has really lifted her tail, too.
I haven't seen a bald eagle on the nest for days, and yesterday there were fewer intrusions from above.

Well, that looks good to me.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Thank you Clare! I wasn't sure.

We have just put up 2 perches next to our new Osprey platform near the Avenue Tower, fingers crossed the returning Ospreys find them!
