Happy new year, everyone! The lovely Emyr has posted a new blog.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
How exciting for you Tiger, and a memorable day, no doubt.

What page/s, TIGER? I shall get my sister to look it up :-)
IMAGICAT
Scylla I can't see any reference to Tiger, himself, but it refers to "a very well known osprey watcher ..." and given that this person had an Irish accent...!! and was referred to as "The willy old cat" hmm! Einion's appearance was clearly celebrated far and wide. He was from egg number 1, yet being reluctant to leave his shell, he was second to hatch, and with much relief they celebrated with a bottle of champagne they had held on to for two years, cake and crips!
It is reported under the main heading of 2011, sub-heading Practicing New Behaviours, page 119.

Einion came from the 2nd egg but hatched first. Dulas came from the first egg but hatched second.
