Strange once again. Now Rich Format won't let me post a picture from my Picture file. So I tried one that was posted just a few days ago with no problems. But NO. won't accept it now. Will keep trying.
Good morning all. A very stormy day today. I hope everyone in Scotland is alright after the battering it has recieved.
I agree with teejay my thoughts and prayers are with the people of France, after the appalling attacks carried out on innocent people. A savage attack on democracy :(
June I love your pic of the rescued Tawny owl they are a magnificent looking bird! I hear them hooting most nights and sometimes right outside my window! I love to hear them and sometimes hear them fighting! LOL. Careless anglers are doing alot of damage to wildlife. I hope its just a small minority of anglers who dont care
Good morning ALL
There is no problem in Scotland - I travelled in the worst of the storm from Aberdeen to Dunblane yesterday and apart from disruption to transport and a few lorries overturned everyone was aware of the hurricane winds that we often get and were prepared. No one hurt as far as I know and the power workers are doing a tremendous job in these conditions restoring power.
I even contacted my work colleagues in Shetland yesterday just to see if the Islands had shifted :):).
My main thoughts as everyones are these past few days are with the people of France which still is more at risk than our own homeland. I agree with TJ and Willow a savage attack on a free democratic society and my thoughts are with them all.
My prayers are that France's misfortune will be the wake up call for all of us that it should be. My prayer is that our leader's (both journalistic and government)will recognize and admit who the enemy is and where the enemy is. My prayers are for the United States, for every country of the United Kingdom and for the entire free world. We are all in trouble and it is time to open our eyes and address the situation properly.
A little too outspoken for this thread., maybe. I tried being quiet in answer to TeeJay's post, but being quiet on certain matters doesn't work very well for me.
I'm glad all is well with Scotland weather wise. 100+ mph winds are not to be sneezed at.
In my last post this morning I reported that I was up in Aberdeen last week.
Well it was an exciting week apart from work.
My colleague who is the bird ringer up there called me wednesday and we went down to Seaton Park on the River Don estuary to see one of the rarest ducks to be seen in UK.
She has been there since last saturday and is quite a celebrity as the paparazi are all out to see her.
My colleague goes down every day and I will be back up north again this week so hope she is still around.
She is a female Harlequin Duck.
HARLEQUIN DUCK ARRIVES IN ABERDEEN
I have a good picture of it on the River Don in .jpg format and compressed but keep getting message must be known URL and .jpg format - so dont understand.
We are at present unable to post pictures on this forum. Change of policy? or change of equipment? I hope only a problem that can soon be corrected, but I am concerned.!! What a pathetic place this will be without pictures, especially till spring.

Good morning everybody.
Fabulous green blue early morning sky this morning but windy and cold! I noticed yesterday that the days are noticeably getting longer! Not long before "our birds" will return. Looking forward to seeing what will happen at Manton Bay and also at Dyfi
