WEEKLY CHAT (non-osprey topics) SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2014

Happy New Week all.

  • Good Morning Everyone. I fell asleep on the sofa while watching tv last night, went to bed early and then slept in this morning.

OG, You are so right, it is just over a year since my OH has done any driving. Good news yesterday was that the surgeon was extremely pleased with the graft progress and OH can now get new glasses and can then start driving again. It will be interesting to see what his spec prescription will be, compared with that of his last pair of glasses. Our next appointment is not until three months time :-)) Thank you for asking.

I will try and catch up with all your news.

  • Hello everyone, we arrived home last evening, now doing the usual feeding of the washing machine etc.

I hope that everyone is well and happy, will read back later when more relaxed. Now, doesn't that sound stupid,we've just been on a relaxing holiday! But you know what I mean.

  • Me again!

Diane – maybe you don’t have fish fingers there! They are pieces of fish fillet (well, the good ones are, cheaper ones are probably what I call “pre-chewed” food, like other processed junk), bread-crumbed and frozen – convenience food, even kids’ food! But they are the only way I will eat white sea-fish (except very expensive sea-bass, which I love, especially served with, when available, equally expensive samphire), so a good source of omega-3.

Brenda – so pleased about your OH’s good news!

Heather – welcome back; pleased you had your relaxing holiday, and I am sure you digested some good books too! I am sure you need to catch up with all the family now, and hope that you find them all well, especially Amy. Take care, don’t try to rush into too much straight away.

I had a frustrating time with online ordering this afternoon – have to try both companies again tomorrow, due to their system glitches. Got our new Hub5 for faster broadband in the post on Thursday; engineer comes Monday to connect us: inevitably, primary phone socket is behind the fridge-freezer, so have moved frozen food to big chest freezer and will move fridge contents into camping chillers tomorrow so J can help OH to move the f-f.

Had two wood-mice in the birds’ ground feeder this morning – one of them looking suspiciously rounded about her(?) middle! Have put the trap out and hope to take them for a drive to the woods soon!

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • Hi all, hope you are all well.

Made a lovely meal for dau's birthday last night.  She went out for lunch today with a couple of friends and tomorrow myself and dau are off to 'Harry Potter, The Studio Tour'. She has been before but wanted to go again as a new display has been put out. The trip is including lunch so it should be a good day out if not tiring on my part.

    Have a good weekend all.
