Hi All: I'm a bit early starting this since it's right before midnight your time. Anyway, on the last page of the previous Weekly Chat, Tiger had some interesting info about what's involved in putting forward Big Ben. I had no idea. And Cirrus posted a shot of two very noisy creatures (thankfully we can't hear them!). And Soosin is looking for Karen. Had a nice day out with daughter; won't be around tomorrow evening your time as I'm taking the train down to Burbank Airport to meet a friend for dinner who's got a stopover there for a few hours en route to her home in Sacramento. Won't be home 'til around 10:30 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. UK time.
Hello Brenda H I am dsappointed beyond belief. Have just been looking at LOTL and looks like a hail storm at the moment, you can see it in the nest. Poor Marje don't think Eric will turn up either in this weather.
Margobird
Have lost LOTL cam; LG still okay. Daily Update page didn't refresh just now either.... Oh call me a liar; just got LOTL back; must've been me.
Oh dear, hails and thunder...

LOL Annette, that’s a robin in your avatar too!
Terry in Cumbria
Auntie/Cirrus – yesterday I was trying MWSnap to get a pic from the live video and couldn’t get anything, but I thought I’d try again before asking, and it worked. But I don’t think I went far enough because now I’m trying again and I seem only able to capture the whole desktop - when I do window or any rectangular area the screen is black. Is there something else I should be doing? I know it’s difficult to tell what I am doing, let alone what I should be doing :-)) Otherwise MWSnap seems brilliant, I can get still pics and items on the screen, just not the live video, and it’s so easy, just click!
TWO OSPREYS ON NEST !!!
Terry - when you have the menu up - that is , once you have 'opened' MWsnap and then minimised it , the icon for it appears in your system tray, right? That is , on the bottom of your PC screen on the RIGHT and it looks like a camera. Then you need to do a right click on the icon to bring up the menu. Then click on Window/menu this 'snaps' the video window and what you then see is what you willl have - a second click actually ON the video window takes the photo. Then it's the usual FILE - SAVE/ Tell me how you get on.
Super news about Odin, isn't it?
TerryM: Oh dear. I already have a Robin? I thought it was just an all-purpose chatty bird! See how much help I'll be this year! I had the same problem as you with MWSnap - black video - but have seen Cirrus's new post and of course, there's always the Help menu (funny how I leave that one until last). If EJ and Odin are - ahem - sleeping elsewhere tonight and the nest is quiet, I'll try it out again.
Hello Annette Before you start a new thread at some unearthly hour of (our) morning, can someone please tell me how to post an avatar. And isn't it exciting that the handsome Odin is back?
Had a good day out – nice day for driving through countryside (even on A75 which wasn’t busy) – a good lunch – and an interesting talk by an archaeologist, speculating on where the 6th-7th century “Kingdom” of Rheged really might have been. Read through 4 pages on Daily Update then 3 on Chat when we arrived home, then no time for comments! Now another 6 pages to read on Daily because of the return of faithful Odin the Magnificent! There have been some great captures of both LotL and LG nests on both threads today – well done all. Hope you are feeling better today, Annette, and that Tiger soon recovers.
Patriciat – to upload an avatar: go to “My Page” at top of any of the Group pages. Click on “Edit Profile” under your name. Click on “Change Avatar” on far right under your current avatar. Click “Upload my own Avatar” above the window, and follow through as you would to upload any picture onto these pages.
Now going to follow the Trucker – I hope - before trying to get to bed earlier to get used to “early to bed and early to rise” when we are away next week – because I take ages to get moving in the morning, we have to get up early for me to be able to shower before breakfast when we are away! So Good Night, and Happy Easter!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
