This topic replaces Satellite Tracked Ospreys (non-LG) Aug 2012-Sep 2014
The scope - following the travels of tracked ospreys "not from Loch Garten", either originating in the UK or overseas.
Can I ask for some help in starting off the thread. If you are the first person to post about a bird in the restarted thread, can you please give the name of the project which is tracking it, and supply a link to the project website.
Many thanks - Sue

Not stupid at all, Starling. At the moment we don't know. Hopefully there will be some clarity fairly soon. At the moment it is just great relief that we have the coverage again.
Thank You yet again Jaydee for another brilliant update.

Thank you, Jaydee, for another information packed update.
An update on UV.
Brilliant JD thank you. Could it be that adult osprey have left the coastal area, heading north for the breeding season, leaving it free for Blue UV(14) take over that territory?

It is very unlikely that most ospreys in what appears from Rutland Osprey Project field work to be an "osprey rich" area have left. Their female 30(05) hasn't been reported as starting her migration so that is a pretty good guide. UV was about 4km inland at night, but only 2km from the beach in his day area. His recent move to an overnight roost very near the beach may be related to adult birds leaving but without eyes on the ground it is impossible to say. The next couple of weeks of data may give more insight. It is all very fascinating!
JAYDEE - cant keep up with you at present :) but everything I have been reading on your blogs is just fantastic news.
How will you keep up when you have at least three nests to report on and maybe more.
Many Thanks.
Thank you jaydee. Hopefully we won't have long to wait to see what UV does next, I look forward to the next update.
