This topic replaces Satellite Tracked Ospreys (non-LG) Aug 2012-Sep 2014
The scope - following the travels of tracked ospreys "not from Loch Garten", either originating in the UK or overseas.
Can I ask for some help in starting off the thread. If you are the first person to post about a bird in the restarted thread, can you please give the name of the project which is tracking it, and supply a link to the project website.
Many thanks - Sue
Update on Kielder UV
Thanks jaydee, another enjoyable blog. Glad to read he is a bit more settled at times. Will be interesting to see what happens once the adults start their return journeys.

Thanks jaydee. I think / and hope that we may see him settle when the breeding adults leave. He must be able to fish or he wouldn't still be exploring the area. He knows best :-))

Brenda, he is definitely fishing OK or he wouldn't be flying as far and as fast on his explorations. We are trying to be as accurate as possible and on a number of occasions he has probably caught a fish from his behaviour and the tracker temperature gauge. But especially early in the day the fixes are 40 mins or so apart so it is still a bit speculative. Hence no specific instances in the blog.
Thanks jaydee. I could never question your accuracy. In fact, your blogs are so full of detail and information, that you outclass any other blog. Thank you once again.

Yes jaydee does brilliant blogs and takes tracking to a new level.

Thank you jaydee for the latest instalment of what is an exciting journey with UV. I'm looking forward to the adults returning to see what he will do next, if anything. I would prefer him to stay away from any fish farm though.
As always, Jaydee, thank you for yet another excellent blog. As Starling says, I also can't wait to see what he does when the breeding birds leave. I do hope he stays safe.
