This topic replaces Satellite Tracked Ospreys (non-LG) Aug 2012-Sep 2014
The scope - following the travels of tracked ospreys "not from Loch Garten", either originating in the UK or overseas.
Can I ask for some help in starting off the thread. If you are the first person to post about a bird in the restarted thread, can you please give the name of the project which is tracking it, and supply a link to the project website.
Many thanks - Sue
Lonaig update - still in Portugal
Thanks Alan - Good to know Lonaig continues to do well. Looks like Portugal is home then.

Many Thanks Alan - I sent a message to Aberfoyle on Wednesday evening which they replied to and also posted the news you have given in your link.
Great he is settled and fine.
Lonaig
It’s interesting how he has moved around this large estuary during his stay, no doubt looking for the best fishing & roosting spots. As southern Europe (and northern Morocco) are a minority choice as osprey wintering sites, I assume that juveniles who choose to stay on there don’t have to deal with adults chasing them out of their territories, and can go where they please.
I have found this website dedicated to the green area where Lonaig has spent much of his time lately
BIORIA Note there is an English version
This is a “bocage” landscape (Portuguese borrows the word from French) similar to the banks of the Loire, where Breagha had his French stopover. This is a good slideshow following one of the waymarked trails.

Update on Kielder UV and 7H.
Thank You again Jaydee for this very interesting update. Found a photo of the mouth of the river in Azemmour that 7H is favouring.
There are many photos on the internet of that wreck of a boat we can see in the photo. I wonder if 7H would roost on it!!! :-)

From the current Google Earth image the wreck seems more covered up now. There is a tolerance in the fixes but from them 7H tends to be about 70m or so away from the wreck when on that side of the estuary. Something to look out for though!
It is interesting seeing some of the places 7H is frequenting Jaydee, everything crossed for her staying safe. Looks as though she is eating well anyway! :-)
