WEEKLY CHAT (non-osprey) SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER (gasp!) 6, 2014

How can it be September; it was only just July......

  • Hi, DIBNLIB, good to see a post from you.  You will have seen above that we are going to see daughter and her damaged house next week, but this will be such a short trip that I am sure you will understand if we don't arrange to see anyone else while we are there!

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • OG   sorry not to see you, but hope you have a safe journey and a good visit despite the damaged house. Think I am right that your daughter has been offered alternative accommodation.  Don't think i told you that Gary (Corner on the Square) has opened in town. He has called this place "No 10" and it is a cross between the cafe in "Tiso" and "Corner" in Beauly.  They will soon start evening meals Thurs, Fri Sat and we will certainly give that a try.

Thought this was very sensible as well as funny.

  • That's brilliant, Dibnlib - thanks for sharing it!

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • Had to sign in, then spent a fruitless 15 mins hoping that my post would work......  sigh.

Try again:    Dibnlib:   Very funny!  Wish some other places would display a sign like that (do these women never see themselves in a mirror LOL!)

OG:   Hope you're feeling better now.  Glad you are off to see the Doc about it.

A sunny day here, but just a teeny touch of "autumnal" about it.   We sat in the garden with our 4 o'clock cuppas, though.

  • Now that posted successfully, I can risk putting up the pics of MadamWhoWillbeSpoiledbyDaddy.....

    Look at all that hair!!!

    On Granddads knee......

  • Awwwwww!  How totally gorgeous, Lindy!

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • I would like to say that your pics make me feel broody, LINDA but I'll settle for feeling grandmotherly!!

Sorry folks for not replying to posts, we have been very busy in the garden. Memo to self- do not leave garden for 16 days in August. OH has been telling me that he didn't want to go away in August and therefore the total mess that we returned to is my fault!! He is probably right. I wanted to see Sam and forgot about other things.

I hope to make sensible replies soon but meantime, let me say that I am up to date with everyone's news!

  • I was a bit harsh, OH didn't say it was my fault, exactly, he just said that we should think carefully before leaving the garden at this time of year lol

  • Lindybird Amber is just beautiful and as you say what a head of hair.

  • Glad you enjoyed the pics. Her Daddy is totally besotted, but has had to be very 'hands on' as her poor Mum has been quite poorly & will need some help for a while. He is already a dab hand with a nappy. Heather - It never seems to be a good time to go away, with regards to the garden. My OH has been up at the allotment a lot lately, tidying up as well as picking produce.
