Welcome to a new week from Sunny South Australia.Though there was mist/low cloud near the river as I went to church. Our days are getting longer, nights a wee bit warmer. Dau has been approved to have nanny help for 5 days x 13 weeks due to PN depression. Such a relief for me as I have been struggling to cope. T’other g-m is going away on holidays & I thought I would have to do extra. Now I can just drop in for an hour or two. More of a visit than an ordeal. Last Thurs I copped a full day as Dau was not well. As I fed, burped, settled & repeated over & over, I muttered that there seemed to be more than 2 babies. However I was firmly corrected by LM.
Annette – Kitchen called & I didn’t finish answering you. I travel with a good Friend, so we are sharing a sleeping compartment. We don’t spend all the time together - when we wander a town, she may go one way & I another. I would not share with a stranger, having seen some oddities on my travels. Eg Fancy sharing with someone who spends 2 hours in the bathroom each morn!
Linda – I haven’t gone yet, not for 4 weeks! Just had our pre-tour peptalk. On the other hand, hm, I do a have a day bus trip next Sunday. Photos I hope later.
Brenda- It’s a 10 day tour, train, bus, feet & plane.
Hi all: Pokey day; accomplished zero but then didn't expend much effort.
AQ; Thanks for starting us off; will respond tomorrow (Sunday).
Take care all.
ANNETTE: I have just checked the Santa Barbara earthquake tracker, and it indicates that you were not affected by the big San Francisco quake this morning. I hope that's right and all is well with you, dearie.
Hello to everyone!http://www.cnn.com/2014/08/24/us/california-earthquake/index.html
Hi Diane!!! I was worried about Annette, too. Hope that's the last tremor....
LINDY: I know that San Francisco is very far away from Santa Barbara, but I wanted to make sure that the fault line wasn't destabilized, causing tremors for Annette.
Hope you're having a great time away, Lindy!
Hallo all:
Diane/Lindy: Didn't know there was an earthquake up north until I logged on to the news headlines this morning. Apparently there are some injuries, quite a bit of damage too.
Diane: Not sure any fault line is stable at any time. I check in with the USGS page daily and if you choose "1 day, all magnitudes" option, it's amazing to see how many there are around the world, especially the Pacific Rim.
Site is being horribly slow today.
Just saw that Richard Attenborough of the movie Gandhi (and so many more)and brother of naturalist David Attenborough, has died at age 90. A good age, but my bro-in-law told me at one time that he'd been a broken man ever since his daughter and granddaughter were killed in the Christmas 2004 tsunami that hit Indonesia after a 9.0 earthquake.
Went to Farmers Market, Costco this a.m. - oh and the gym too, since it closes tomorrow for a week for its annual scrub and touch up. Must go to library this p.m. and there's a suspicious pile of clothing lurking in the vicinity of the washer.....
Annette tell the clothing to hop into the washer pronto lololo
Hi folks, didn't post at all last week as not a lot to say. However, I do hope that you are all well and fighting fit except for a few.
OH's birthday and our 46th WA so had a family meal. OH over indulged on the wine and brandy so has slept most of the evening. Now come to and having a drink of tea and of course some chocolate. The things they do.
AQ - so pleased that a diagnosis has been given for your DAU and that she is going to get some help which you must be relieved about.
Yes, Richard has died at lunchtime today, he had been living in a nursing home and had been unwell for some time. Another great actor and director.

fish: The laundry is paying no attention to my pleas; I'll try it on the ironing later but fear it'll be even more recalcitrant. :-)
Lynette: Sounds like a very sensible way to celebrate - a nice meal with wine, brandy, and now chocolate! Thanks very much for reminding me to re-read AQ's post!!
AQ: What a relief that your daughter will get some help; gosh, two babies and a toddler would be enough to make anyone depressed and then add all the hormonal changes on top of that. Overwhelming to say the least. Now you can go off on your trip and not worry and enjoy yourself. Hurray!
