Yesterday, EJ and Odin continued their fantastic fishing efforts on behalf of their young - but one surprise, or rather three, cropped up - the juvies showing aggression to each other. I think that Druie 'attacked' Millie/Seasca twice, and Millie attacked Seasca once. Each time the attacker was in possession of a fish and objected their sibling hanging around hopefully.
Nothing serious, but we had often remarked on the total lack of aggression among the three juvies this season.

I've just checked the weather forecast for the Nethy Bridge area - today is all right but tomorrow is looking disgusting, with heavy rain and gusts of wind. The temperature is looking cold as well. At least, eleven degrees would be unthinkable here in August.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Ugh, Clare - not very warm!
super series of shots, Scylla. Glad the two eldest have had breakfast.
