Thunderstorms last night knocked out LG webcam (and Dyfi) so we started the day anxious to know what was happening - had Druie taken to the skies again, how were the fish deliveries faring etc. It was the afternoon before the internet was restored to LG and sure enough, there was Druie on the nest :-)
My access to the DU is so slow that I haven't been able to catch up properly but one thing I was astonished to see was Odin nest-cupping! Druie's only just fledged - definitely not time yet for the traditional scraping and crossed sticks!
When I checked the webcam close to night cam time (expecting ENS) the whole family appeared - Odin providing another late night fish. Amazingly the 3 sisters are together tonight on the nest - anyone would think they were huddling together for warmth!!!
Here's a snap - I'm not even going to try and work out who's flapping...
Tiger and Chloe's Osprey Info
Millie has arrived, wants feeding.
IMAGICAT
After all that sitting still she finally moves:
No longer alone:
I think it's Seasca:
Awww. Maybe EJ was just waiting for one of her girls to arrive so she could mother them:
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Whoops - got the ID wrong again!!!
I just missed a fly-past when I stopped/restarted. Sod's law.
Presumably it was Seasca as she has just landed.
Well, I can now say with certainty that Millie and Seasca are on the nest with EJ:
What are they all looking at?
Only one juvie left:
Lovely snaps, CLARE :-* I shall save them. I'm trying to put together a video of EJ alone and the kids joining her, but have become paralysed by too many clips.
BTW there was a partial fly-past @ 1013hr, someone flew in from the right, disappeared behind the nest, didn't come out the other side. Have they been watching Druie making up for lost time? ;-)
Both birds are hoovering up now. Seasca has flown.
