Thunderstorms last night knocked out LG webcam (and Dyfi) so we started the day anxious to know what was happening - had Druie taken to the skies again, how were the fish deliveries faring etc. It was the afternoon before the internet was restored to LG and sure enough, there was Druie on the nest :-)
My access to the DU is so slow that I haven't been able to catch up properly but one thing I was astonished to see was Odin nest-cupping! Druie's only just fledged - definitely not time yet for the traditional scraping and crossed sticks!
When I checked the webcam close to night cam time (expecting ENS) the whole family appeared - Odin providing another late night fish. Amazingly the 3 sisters are together tonight on the nest - anyone would think they were huddling together for warmth!!!
Here's a snap - I'm not even going to try and work out who's flapping...
Tiger and Chloe's Osprey Info
Ooh, movement:
She turns and lets us see she still has a fair portion of fish in her talons - then she flies off.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Hello everyone!! So nice to see EJ on the nest. I miss the webcam already, after only one day away :-( so thanks a lot for pictures!
Today I'm at Loch of the Lowes hoping to see Lady. Fingers crossed!
Bye for now! :-)
PS Sheila, I saw your message, thanks!! :-)

She's back:
'If I start eating this will they all descend on me?'
Hi, Noc - I hope you get your wish! Lowes is a lovely reserve - we were lucky enough to see the beaver there last year.
EJ is still sitting there. Having fed the girls I wonder if she is now waiting to give the fish to Odin?
I've plugged her into my TV, full-screen :-*

Noc, if you can get a better shot of this picture it may be useful in future years as it shows the locations of other perches which the rangers use to locate the birds. CLICK to enlarge.
Birdies LG DU update.
How lovely, Scylla. I wish she could be a TV channel, year-round - the quality of TV viewing here would improve astronomically.
What a familiar scene. EJ waiting, with a fish.
She has been sitting there for nearly an hour.
