Just a few minutes ago, there was a report on the BBC London news from the top of a London Tower building near the Gherkin, where there is a new bird migration watch site, that had some enthusiasts with telescopes, watching out for raptors like buzzards, as well as the local peregrines. This spot offers incredible views from the top, looking down on the City and the Thames, right down the estuary. Then they said that plans were afoot to establish a webcam in time for Springwatch this year, which would be something unique, if it were to be done. There may be some, more info on the BBC, or the BBC webpages and if so, I shall post the links.

Birdwatching in London at 600 feet, on top of Tower 42, the second highest building.
They mention possibly seeing Ospreys as well as other raptors and the possibility of Springwatch featuring a webcam from this building.

Rather old news, but I for one didn't know the Springwatch 2010 schedule. It is to be based in Norfolk again, with the same presenters as last year and Monday 31st May is the date for your diaries.

This article mentions 'Tower 42' which is stated above, a new bird viewing site above London. Also tells about the the visual tracking of an osprey over London recently, that took only 25 minutes to fly directly across the city from south to north. A forthcoming BBC programme is mentioned as well.
