Our newly ringed and tagged juvies have been up and about, but at least one of them looks uncomfortable and ungainly. I'm not saying that it is worrying, just telling it like it is.

Glad you've done a 'holding', Scylla, as I was trying to start a new thread as well! I've only been home a while as was out in the Brecks for Nightjars - I thought I might miss the ringing but thanks to you & Limpy I can replay the action!
So glad to see that EJ is back with her disoriented chicks
Tiger and Chloe's Osprey Info
The rain got heavier and EJ flew in to offer some shelter:
#3 had a flap or two:
EJ did a lot of looking around.
It's still raining but not has heavily, and EJ has stayed sheltering one end or the other of each chick:

We'll have to check on it tomorrow morning. Also, the VC will be watching them closely I am sure. I am curious to see the blog about the ringing/tagging. BTW, you have all those puffin cam screams in the LG video. :D

DAYCAM 0405hr (just!)
EJ left @ 0438hr:
Good morning Scylla.I see the three chicks are up and about and no doubt looking for breakfast.I wonder if Wendy actually slept last night after the thrill of being there at the ringing/tagging?. I have not been quite that close, but almost, and I can assure you it is an amazing experience and priviledge.
Birdies LG DU update.
One of the chicks actually feeding itself from a sizeable fish.
I cant make out which it is as only the middle chick has an aerial visible. Size wise it looks like #1
I know, MIKE, and I'm frantically trying to recover from the latest Flash update and some other mysterious tangle and buffering!
Of course Murphy's law kicked in and while I was posting they've moved! #3 is now at the far side and the two tagged chicks are in front...with the tags clearly visible!!.
FISH shortly after 0500hr !!!!
A major buffering session while I was in the kitchen means we've missed the fish delivery for the second time running!
We'll never know if #3 had a decent share of the fish from EJ (unless an eye-witness turns up), but look what s/he did! One of the elder chicks looks on, interested or wanting to be fed? ;-) See how s/he eventually places his/her foot on the fish to secure it :-)
