If you look in the Daily Update you'll see that Odin arrived with a fish shortly after your post.
Birdies LG DU update.
Ian very interesting comment about the Alvie ospreys are they the same as the Insh ones. I didn't know there were ospreys at Alvie.
Well from what I'm told by my Father there are ospreys that nest in the woods nearer to Loch Alvie as well as the ones that nest up at Insh but they are left well alone to the best of my belief.
Thanks Mike.. he's doing very well with his fishing skills this year!!
Very interesting thanks Ian. I think the loch at Alvie is pike? I don't know if Ospreys ever fish there. Loch Garten is too peaty. I don't think they often fish at Insh either, obviously like to travel to their favourite fishmonger
Hello Ian and a warm welcome from me up in Caithness. This is a truly wonderful site. Like you I joined the RSPB several months ago now and have been following the birds on lots of different web cams. It is lovely to see them hatch, feed, grow and fledge. I hope you enjoy being on here.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I've lived in Aviemore all my life and never took much notice of all the wonders that are around me until reaching mid-life, and I've avidly watched these chicks go from strength to strength this year and I want to see all 3 of them fledge and go on to live long lives. I think the work that the RSPB do is amazing and they bring us things to see like this and I am proud to have become a new member of the RSPB and will support them in any way I can..

Hello Ian, it's very nice to read this; I love the RSPB and all they do for wildlife. Isn't it amazing to watch these birds on their nests?
Lucky you to live in Aviemore. I lived in Scotland for a while and I miss it so much!
