The last we saw of our precious family before (presumably) the weather put paid to the cam - our Hero brought a fish against the odds:
Just after 0100hr, an email from Carnyx - how thoughtful of them :-*

I'm so pleased the last thing we saw was His Gorgeousness bringing a fish.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Me too, Clare. I hope at LG is not pouring down like here :-(

The forecast for the area is a dry one for the next few days. A sight better than here! I feel sorry for the Springwatch people up the coast at Minsmere.
Yes, Patily, Minsmere is a seriously big reserve - I hope you're enjoying seeing it!
Morning all. Shame...still no camera :( Anyway, thank you Clare. I was just going to say Happy Birthday to Breagha (AKA Moffalot) who is one year old today.

Hi, Moffer - it's so handy Moffalot hatched on your birthday as it's a perfect reminder.
Happy Birthday to Moffer & to Breagh, too.
Happybirthday Moffer and Breagha.
Glad to hear it's dry up there today, thanks Clare.

Morning all. (Hiya Mary hope u are well)
what a shame about the camera. Happy Birthday Moffer & Breagha - Moffalot haven't heard that in ages! I Haven't seen our family for a long time as I was away, checked yesterdays DU and saw the lightning video (thank you) poor EJ looked surprise to say the least. Does this mean the VC has no camera either?

I wondered the same, Scylla. I personally hope it was down to the sheer wetness as it should now be drying out up there.
