HAPPY NEW WEEK!

Last week's chat thread is here: http://www.rspb.org.uk/community/placestovisit/lochgartenospreys/f/915/p/111650/864936.aspx#864936

Everyone have a wonderful week!

Here's an extraordinary new discovery! Even if you aren't interested in the science, scroll to the bottom of the article and watch the video at the end. It's truly breathtaking. Seriously, I don't think I breathed for the entire 5 minutes. By the end, I was getting dizzy. The building is the new under-construction Shanghai Tower.

  • Good evening all,

    lovely photo Alan.

Annette, I would love the 2 babies, such joy, although good to hand back.  I have the 1 grandson (Seth) who will 4 in November, he told me last night, that I am is bestest friend, more than mummy, my daughters face was picture, it will have no doubt changed today.

The Thai meal was wonderful yesterday evening, its only a very small place in Bedford, very welcoming.  It was good that  partner and I got ourselves out, which I do know did him some good, He tried to get involved, although at times I could see the pain etched on his face.

We ordered our funeral flowers today, a woodland wreath with Calla Lilies and orchids, another difficult hurdle, his son was a landscape gardener, so felt it was apt, he was very much for the outdoors.

The funeral is this coming Thursday, I am already stressing about what to wear, all black or part black? OH would think me crazy if he knew, he would say 'wear what you feel comfortable wearing'.

My Mum is pretty much the same, I am worried that she has not been on her feet now for 5 weeks, the Physios have tried to use the standing hoist, she is far too weak and unable to take her weight at present, which is a great cause for concern.

My sisters finally managed to talk to the surgeon yesterday, he is relatively happy at the moment, although mums recovery will take weeks of baby steps, with ups and downs along the way, remains 50/50 depending on how the other organs function.

Otherwise we had a very lazy day in the garden, although OH was in and out when the football started.

On a bright note (for me) We continue to have our twice daily visit from the Jackdaw, I have said it before, but what a bird, beautiful! the other birds quickly depart when he arrives, so funny. I did go out to stock up on bird food, blimey its not cheap trying to keep these birds in to what they are now accustomed, where do you all go for bird feed, ideas would be good?!

The neighbour didn't look too pleased when he was checking his car over for birds droppings :/

Hope you've all had a wonderful day, my eyes are glued on EJ and those eggs at the moment, fingers crossed it wont be long now before we see a bobblehead.

  • FIRST EGG HATCHED!!!  Wonderful news for LG!

Glad you managed your meal out, Tina.  Great you have a visiting Jackdaw.
