noc no egg yet perhaps Monty is warming/drying the nest cup for Glesni.
Yes, he is getting ready for the big event... but where is Glesni? :-( Still chasing intruders?
Tiger's Osprey News
Think he knows about new camera angle & just checking that he can fit all his wonderful features in for us to admire when it's his turn to incubate ... he is saying 'watch this space!' (anthropomorphism with a vengeance here lol!)

It is Emyr on the camera at the moment, and on Chat he has just said that "16:59 Not seen Glesni for around 6 hours". Wonder what she is upto. Perhaps chasing the intruder?
DOP have just reported on FB 7 minutes ago.
Monty has been on his tod all day, we haven't seen Glesni for around six hours. We assume she is chasing the unidentified osprey (female we think) away.
If Glesni's body had just started to produce an egg (takes around three days), then she would reabsorb it with a major disruption like today. If however that egg was almost ready to plop out, well, who knows..
Oh dear Keith, that does not sound good at all.
Emyr has given us some wonderful closeups of Monty's feathers. He said that Monty will have a whole set of feathers replaced every 18-24 months and that he will have moulted most of these primary (flight) feathers in Africa.
This is a bit worrying, hope Glesni reappears soon.
Just when we seem to be able to stop worrying about Manton Bay.......
These Rutland birds are a riotous lot and feisty with it, no wonder they have so many returners.
