Another day has passed with no cause for concern on the LG nest. EJ may have gone fishing for herself in the early morning - she was absent from the nest for nearly 2 hours - and Odin brought a good fish late lunchtime, as well as doing his fair share of incubating. There were a number of quiet conversations between the couple.
EJ is asleep on her three eggs:
IMAGICAT
Yes, Sheila, it would be amazing to see Odin fishing in person, or in osprey, as the case may be!

I have actually seen two osprey fishing, off the coast in drizzly rain. I watched them fly out of the mouth of the river but it was too far away really, then out to sea where, as dark specks, we could see them dive. A memory, but not a very clear picture at all!!!

Odin has returned to do a wee bit of nestorising moving sticks and soft furnishings, waving his tail above EJ head, while she calls.
and he flies off
Wow - I would love to see the sight. I have handled osprey chicks during banding, but never seen them fishing in person!
And he has come back to EJ, fishless! She is cheeping.
Really, it far to far away to be impressive though. It could have been a gannet, apart from the way it dived in!
And if he goes probably back to camtree!
LOL Sheila. Typical. He's generally unfazed by her entreaties.
LIMPY, your 6.17pm video is set to "Private" so no-one can view it.
Thanks for the videos, CC and LIMPY, and for the photos, everyone :-)
