My condolences to you and your family.
Christine I will repeat what I said in the Blog.
"Sunshine was one of life's great gentlemen, and will be very much missed by all who knew him.
I always said to him he was Yorkshire's greatest birding son! He is at peace now, with no more pain to bare!"
My heartfelt condolences to you and your family.
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
To those of us on the early GABFEST, SUNSHINE was enjoyed and much appreciated as our daily companion. He was always cheerful, imaginative and fun loving . His love of the osprey we followed was always apparent as well as his enjoyment of the many birds he found in his birding activities. He has been greatly missed since his posts became less frequent and finally stopped altogether.
Several of us have sadly followed his declining health offline and it was with great sorrow that we finally learned of his passing.
CHRISTINE, thank you for taking the time to inform us of the funeral arrangements, etc. for you brother, HAROLD BARRETT. You might like to read of our tributes to HAROLD (who will always be SUNSHINE to us) on The Gabfest thread and of the condolences given there to you and your family.

Thank you for all of your kind words in memory of SUNSHINE, it is much appreciated.
He was passionate about his bird watching and all his RSPB friends he's has made over the years. The lovely memorial of SUNSHINE you have posted will be read out at his funeral, such a loving tribute to such a lovely man. He had pleasure in the last few weeks of his life reading all your messages and blogs on the forum.
Regards
Christine
I an so very sorry to hear your sad news. Sincere condolences to you and all your family Christine. It is so hard to realise that there will be no more posts from SUNSHINE
I was sad to hear the news about Sunshine from another forum poster who had kept in touch with him by phone when he was unable to post. I remember the day he met Jag at the Humber Bridge standing with his poster, he will be sadly missed on the forum.
Condolences to you and your family Christine.
It is sad to read SUNSHINE's passing. His was such a familiar name when I first became interested in the ospreys a few years ago. He was always a "good read" and he has been and will be greatly missed. I am pleased to read that he still received some pleasure from the forum during his last days. My sincere condolences to you and others of his family at your loss of a man who truly seemed to live up to his psuedynim.
