Memories of long ago

Hi, just thought I would log on again this year and watch my favourite place on earth. A long time ago (hence the nic) I had the greatest of times (4 years in a row) at Loch Garten when the whole idea of 'guarding' the birds was something new. Converted garden sheds and ex ww2 binoculars in the 'forward hide', to say nothing of having to lay field telephone lines back to the camp site 4 miles away in a farmers field. Happy days indeed, well done RSPB for the work you have done and the continued development of this marvellous site. (Do still hanker for the good old days when we stayed in tents under 4ft of snow) Any still around from those days (1970s) I would love to hear from you.
