I think this has been mentioned before Clare and I believe it is to do with the issues of packing such things to ensure their safe transit.

There was an amazing moment on my forum recently. A member broke her Rutland osprey mug. She was distraught and a Rutland volunteer brought her a replacement right to her house. How is that for a wonderful gesture?

I did wonder that too, Mike. There has been no update on staffing since Tim Mackrill 'left' to work with RD on projects in the south which I assume means mainly the Poole translocation project. Didn't the Urdaibai project finish last year?
With Tim Appleton now retired, and two other potential vacancies, there will be a huge hole in osprey knowledge at RW, both on history of the project and osprey in the feather. Not something which can be learned overnight.
