Many of you may remember Carl Sagan's popular Cosmos television series. The program is returning, hosted by handsome and charming nerd scientist Neil deGrasse Tyson, and it promises to be astounding! The new show, Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, will explore the wonders of the universe using cutting edge technology, advanced animation, and new modes of storytelling.
The new Cosmos is expensive and wildly ambitious. It will be broadcast in 170 countries and in 45 languages, the largest global opening for a television series ever.
In the U.K.: The show premieres next Sunday (16 March) at 7:00 p.m. and will be broadcast by U.K. National Geographic Channel.
In the U.S.: The show premieres this Sunday (9 March) at 9:00 p.m. and will be simulcast on the National Geographic Channels and the Fox network channels.
In Australia: The show premieres next Sunday (16 March) at 7:30 p.m. on Australia National Geographic Channel.
I couldn't find the information for France. Sorry!
You can get more background information in this article. I highly recommend this series.
Good morning all and thanks for the kind thought that have come my way.
Wonderful to see OG again. Received your PM OG, thanks so much. Have replied but not sure whether you will receive it as have major problems with this facility.
Forgive me for not replying to posts but mind is not in a good place. Such a shock yesterday to find that not only the platelet situation is not good but my blood count is down and red blood cells showing abnormalities again and this makes me anaemic. I had offbeen feeling breathless and very tired but thought it was the cold and cough that was causing it. Having a bone marrow test again this afternoon and will see consultant in two weeks time for the results. If the percentage of leukaemia cells have increased (they were just 2% last time), I will have to go down the chemotherapy route again for the foreseeable future. We are both upset as you can imagine. Had high hopes that this year would be a vast improvement on last year. I had hoped to help OH more than I have been so he would have more time for himself. We have also been booking shows so hoping we will get to some of them. Not feeling at my most positive at the moment, it is like taking three steps forward and four back. Just have to gear ourselves up for another effort to at least live with this illness.
i know I will feel better once the initial shock has worn off and hopefully post something more cheerful.
Take care all, you are always in my thoughts and thank you again for being there.
Sorry to hear this Margo. I will email you!
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
Sorry to hear that news Margo.
Margo - I didn't receive a PM, but no worries - just pleased you got mine! Your post above must have taken you a lot of effort, feeling the way you do, and I was sorry to see that, as well as the platelet problem, your other blood cells are misbehaving again. As you say, you can live with it, but unfortunately that will mean more chemotherapy. You have been very positive and I am sure you can get back to that attitude again. I am sure your OH just wants the best for you, and you don't need to worry about him! Thinking of you.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Morning all:
Margo: Hugs and very best energy on the way to you. I'm wondering if they can fine-tune any treatment so you can maintain a higher level of energy this time round.
Back later.
Margo - I am so sorry that you had bad news yesterday and I do hope that any treatment you have to go through will not be so tough on you this time. I will be thinking of you.
OG - so nice to hear from you again, lovely flowers! I am far behind you, snowdrops still lovely, crocuses only just out, and no sign of daffodils coming into flower yet. This lovely sunny weather will be bringing things on quickly now though.
Nice having a garden - but OUCH! "Day off" for grocery shopping tomorrow!

Hello All
What a lovely day here, OH also having an OUCH, OG!! He has been scarifying the lawn at front and various other bits and pieces.
I have been doing a bit more furniture moving.
MARGO - Lots of hugs from here and also for your OH. I think that he would say that everything is done happily and with love and if the time ever comes that he can't cram everything in, then there are lots of cleaning firms. (We haven't needed so far, but in Inverness, Merry Maids seem to be good according to a friend who is eons younger than both you and I, MARGO. She just hires them when she is more than usually busy at work).
Probably back later.
Forgot to say, LINDY should never have gone away. I emptied the washing machine this morning and a butter knife fell out. So Limpy is the smile person, and I am the accidental happening person. BUT, how in the heck did a butter knife get mixed up with the washing??????
