Oh Tish I'm so glad I'm not alone in being lacking in computer literacy.  All the others appear to be real 'techies'!

OG I'll have to ask my nephew for help and then back-up some of my stuff - had a fatal crash on my desktop computer a couple of years ago.

Hi Tish & Soosin:    Nice to hear from you both again.  Both Tish and patriciat  need not worry about not being computer literate - I'm just someone who grew up with electric typewriters and regard this as the same, only with a big screen!  My eldest son has to come & sort me out when the computer does strange things, as I sometimes get down a cul-de-sac without a paddle, if you know what I mean!

Thanks to dibnlib for the lovely bald eagle story - poor thing. Always a problem when wild things are raised by humans.  Sorry to hear you are so wet, Margobird, I'll try & send you some of our sunshine tomorrow, our weather cleared up today, which made it rather annoying that I'd arranged to go to the cinema, as could have been tidying the garden or something.  However, we went to nearby town in order to see it in 3D, and watched "Alice in Wonderland" which was great fun.  Lots of famous people did the voices of the animations, so it was fun spotting them.

Like your pic of the siskin, Heron77  such a pretty colour.

Annette:   'Twas only me, breaking out into 'old English' and being fanciful. I read about the calorie burning thing, too, but reckon I've burnt a few this week, bouncing about on this chair & getting excited about our birds return, soon.

Car has been returned from the Garage, our lovely Garage Man had a look & pronounced that it was nothing horrible or expensive, just that the drains from the bonnet were clogged with leaves & the resultant water was mixing with a fancy oil drip tray underneath, so it looked like diesel spills.  At least we'll know now, if it does it again.

Tish, I am not good at computery stuff but if I go to the Loch Garten Osprey page on RSPB community and click on Annette's weekly update,' latest post '(highlighted in blue) then it goes straight to the last post, last page. Sorry if this doesn't make sense, I am not a techie!!

I know why I lost my LG webcam, because I was networking two computers together and the settings on the desktop got transferred to the laptop, which is running a different configuration of software.

For anyone trying to run the website on Windows 7 with the latest Firefox 3.6.2, it just cannot work, since the WMP plug-in has not yet been made available, so although I have WMP version 12, it only works with IE version 8, which I have on the laptop, which is new. I have the nest on screen at present and there is nothing to report. 11.00AM.

The versions of software are given on the 'Help' button, under 'About xxxxx' usually.

I am not making any promises, but either I or one of the other members may be able to help.

Dear JSB... please forgive my ignorance re trying to get webcams set up at LG!!   I am still at a loss about webcams....on the wee black window is says   NO SIGNAL.    I am able to use other webcams,eg. Lot Lowes and other sites.  I am using IE 8. Don't know anything about Windows Medium Player.

So sorry to bother you.
