Simply amazing. Scientists in Tasmania are tracking bees with tiny sensors. The next stage is to shrink the sensor to track fruit fly & mosquitoes.
Temp may be cooler but the high humidity makes it feel just as unpleasant. The bushfires have destroyed at least 15 homes, 425,000 hectares, not to mention stock, crops & fencing. Concern that the first stage of the Tour DownUnder may have to be cancelled as the route is through one of the bushfire areas. Many of the fires, some still not under control, are in areas I have visited or plan to visit on photo excursions. News is much worse when one can picture the scene rather than just another anonymous place in the news. I haven't been out in the car since last Mon and driving to church this morn I felt quite strange.
Diane thanks for that link to Times Square live camera, I have made a short cut to it. Yes poor Pale Male will be feeling it in the big freeze, as all the other animals (and humans too) LOL

What is the difference between a stoat and a weasel ( including an old joke )

Brenda, thanks for that link. I thought the sweet little fella in Limpy's very good photo was a pine marten. I didn't even think about you all having weasels and stoats.
Clare: That's a lovely and very artistic photo!
Limpy said: Good Evening All. I went to Minsmere today - look what I saw.
Good Evening All. I went to Minsmere today - look what I saw.
Mary: It's only 2:00 in the afternoon in New York. I can't believe how dark it is there. Surreal.
Clare: That pic could win a photography contest. You and Limpy are both so talented.
Thanks for your NY link, Diane. It has become even darker and the roads are becoming whiter now.
I had to laugh. Winter Watch have not yet said just how far the fox travelled but our local news showed where and how far he has been, at 6.30pm.
Watching it Mary GK thank you, it is on now
Sorry I should have said Brenda H. lololol
HI Mary and Fish it is a Weasel a cute little thing.
