And so it begins:
25/02 16:41 NORTHUMBERLAND : Osprey, Kielder Water [S]
one one over forest at the Bakethin end for 10 minutes before drifting away this afternoon (13:00)
Gosh that's an "early bird" Alan.
This is one from yesterday 24/02/2014 on Faune-aquitaine :
Osprey seen by Paul Lesclaux at Saint-Cricq-du-Gave "continuing his overwintering. Eats a fish in his favourite dead tree at 18h"
I'm not sure whether that's good news or not Alan. Isn't it rather early, as Noisette said. I wonder whether the lochs and lochans are free of ice? And more to the point, I wonder whether 'we' know this bird!
Whatever happened to that bird in Aberdeenshire?
